Description
A color photograph of a designed prototype heavy transport aircraft named by Hughes, H-4 Hercules to carry soldiers and cargo during the war. It took 5 years to design and build. The aircraft was flown only once by millionaire Howard Hughes as pilot and crew in 1947 for a mile at altitude of 70 feet. The war ended with no further need to transport cargo and soldiers. Due to metal restrictions in wartime the frame was of spruce wood. Length of wing span is 320 feet. Fine Art Watermarks will NOT appear on your item(s) selected for purchase of prints, greeting cards, iPhone 5 and Galaxy phone case covers.
